When Jason isn’t working in the theatre, it’s a good bet you’ll find him behind a camera somewhere. Current projects include a short film and several reality TV projects including camera operator for the Victoria-based “Hero Search” and running around onstage with a camera at the BC150 concert. Involved in theatre for as long as he can remember, Jason has stage managed countless shows for many local companies and is happy to be working with such a talented team at Ballet Victoria.

Nancy is a native of Wisconsin. Her career spans art education, music, advertising and cooking. While working on a MFA in painting she used her photographs to collage images to paint that were large, surreal and colourful. As a painter, photography was a tool; today she uses photography exclusively as the method to conceive her images. Images are often layered to create a story. Nancy loves the overlapping of the different art forms of ballet, music and the visual arts, and has enjoyed very much the collaboration with Ballet Victoria.
I am drawn to the power of the photograph. The ability of an image to capture the imagination and create memories propels me to success in my work.
Striking images and evocative portraits come from an ability to frame a story, create a connection to a person and reveal the aesthetic of design.
I am a Commercial and Editorial Photographer based in Victoria, Canada. I provide unique images and visual identities for people, businesses, products, services and the arts.
Jean-François Mincet was born in 1954 in Paris. His artistic career began in 1972 with the illustration of art books commissioned by Parisian art publishers, Pierre de Tartas and Editions de l'Ibis. The books met a resounding success with collectors in recognition of his exceptional talent. He continued in this line of work until 1988 while pursuing his foremost passion, painting, which had developed in him from a very young age.
A self-taught artist, he has gained mastery of his art through the study of the techniques and works of past masters, especially those of Johannes Vermeer. Several of his copies of the great Dutch master's pieces are now with American collectors.
His artwork was exhibited in France (Paris, Antibes, Nice, Cannes), Monaco, Geneva, Boston, Ottawa and most recently Sidney, BC. He was the recipient of several public awards. His pieces have been acquired by collectors from Europe and America; he has also received many commissions, ranging from portraits to large mural works.
He currently lives in British Columbia, Canada.
