The eclectic score with excerpts from Saint-Saens’s Bacchanale, Borodin’s Polovstian Dances, Minkus’ La Bayadere, as well as elements from the Dune’s soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, will drive this new classical full-length ballet, filled with exotic costumes and the magic of Jason King’s projections. With a more extensive set design than most BV productions, the story will follow the original text, with a little homage to Disney. Destrooper’s newest full length creation will hold contemporary flair, fierce choreography as well as, “noblesse oblige”, humorous touches.
