Destrooper’s The Rite of Spring is one of BV’s most visceral works and holds a unique contemporary yet timeless flair. One can look at a patriarchy been overturned and transformed through a recognition that balances, equity and equality, the only true values that may bring peace and harmony to the world and its peoples. The physical demands of the work are Olympic to match the score’s dramatic drive.

The second half of the program will be a world premiere by resident artist Andrea Bayne who will create a one act ballet to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons. A score that transcends time and still remains relevant today. Andrea will look at what mankind has done to its world, its environment, and she will drive hope into all for a deeper connection with nature so that we may heal all bodies, all souls and the planet.
