Takeru Hatsushika - Dancer
Born in Tokyo, Japan, Takeru started his classical ballet training with various Teachers in Japan for 13 years. At 17, he joined the Goh Ballet youth company in Vancouver, Canada and performed various soloist roles in Nutcracker and Cinderella. While at Goh Ballet, he won the best male award in Global Dance Challenge which was held in Vancouver in 2018. Takeru moved to Tajikistan and joined the Tajik National Opera and Ballet Theatre as a soloist, where he performed various soloist and lead roles: “Spectre” in Le spectre de la rose, and the Russian dance in Nutcracker. He worked with a modern ballet choreographer from Russia and performed the lead role in his choreography.
With Ballet Victoria, he has performed principal roles and soloist roles in Nutcracker, Carmina Burana, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Aladdin, and Alice in wonderland.
Takeru is looking forward to his Third season with Ballet Victoria.
