Julia Bridger - Dancer

A native of Toronto, Julia graduated from Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s Professional Division. She was the inaugural recipient of the Evelyn Hart Scholarship in 2010, and again in 2011. After two years as an RWB Aspirant, Julia joined Ballet Victoria in 2016, dancing lead roles in Dracula, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker, and Carmina Burana, to name a few. In 2018, Julia guested with RWB in George Balanchine’s Serenade. In 2019, she toured Canada and the USA with the Chinese folk dance company Wuxi Song and Dance Theatre, dancing in Peter Quanz’s Lost. Julia joined Harbin Ballet, in China, as a Senior Soloist for their inaugural season, performing Winter Dream, by Peter Quanz. She is delighted to be dancing in her seventh season with Ballet Victoria. When she’s not dancing, Julia enjoys painting, crocheting, baking, scrapbooking, and reading – she is currently working through the Wheel of Time series.
